How we handle your information

Effective September 30, 2026. This policy covers alexandjay.com and buttecountyhomebuyer.com, operated by Go Rascal Inc., doing business as HappyDog.

Information we collect

When you use a contact form, we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, and topic you provide. We also record your consent, the site where you submitted the form, and the time of submission. Our hosting provider may process routine technical information, such as IP address, browser information, and page requests, to operate and secure the websites.

How we use it

Jay & Alex use contact information to respond to your request and discuss possible next steps. If you provide a phone number and consent to texts, messages are limited to follow-up about your request. We do not use your form submission for unrelated marketing without separate permission. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.

Optional website analytics

If you choose to allow analytics, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand page visits, clicks, and scrolling so we can improve the websites. Clarity may use cookies and collect technical information about your visit. We load Clarity only after you choose Allow analytics. We do not send contact-form entries to Clarity. You can change your choice using Analytics settings in the footer. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Who receives it

Authorized Go Rascal Inc. personnel and service providers that operate and store website submissions may access the information for these purposes. We also send contact-form submissions to Bonzo, our customer relationship management service, to respond to your request. Submissions from the Butte County Home Buyer site are processed through the Jay & Alex website system. If you choose to follow a link to a third-party loan application or other website, information you enter there is governed by that provider's privacy policy. The Jay & Alex site also displays third-party rate content from Optimal Blue, which may process technical information when its widget loads.

Retention and your choices

We keep submissions for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request and meet applicable business or legal obligations. You may ask about or request correction or deletion of your submitted information, subject to any required retention, by using our contact form. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP.
